Codio:Troubleshooting Assignment Preview Load Issue

There is an issue that sometimes occurs when loading an assignment preview in Codio. When you click the "preview" button, you may see a blank page with "about:blank" in the URL. This is normal, but should only last a few seconds. If it takes longer than a minute to load, you might be experiencing connectivity issues.

Note: It's been reported that sometimes clicking on the blank page causes it to load

Still not working?

If you are still experiencing issues, please perform the following steps to help us and the Codio support team troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Open the following link in a new tab: Connectivity test
  2. You should see a bunch of text / code fill the page. Save the resulting file to your desktop (in Chrome, click the main menu, go to "Tools -> Save As", or press Ctrl + S )
  3. Send a message on slack to a Bold Idea staff member such as @Ben or @Lorene, letting them know you're having Codio connectivity issues, and attach the downloaded file to the message (click the plus sign, then "Upload from your computer").

We will then reach out to Codio support staff and to help troubleshoot the issue.
